Dr. Katerina Falk was born in Czechia, but followed her ambition to study abroad obtaining a Master degree in Physics at Imperial College London and later doctorate from University of Oxford in Atomic and Laser Physics. She has worked in fusion technology and laboratory astrophysics research at various institutions including Los Alamos National Laboratory in the USA and ELI Beamlines near Prague and lead a research group at Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf before joining the semiconductor industry. Katerina currently leads product and technology R&D projects for high voltage automotive applications at Infineon Technologies in Dresden.
