Dr. Jane Forbes has taught Sociology and related subjects in higher education for 28 years. Her focused research areas are academic integrity, organizations, education, and faculty. She has presented at multiple international conferences including the July 2025 International Sociological Association in Morocco and the April 2025 Society of Women Engineers Local Conference in Prague. She also presented on Open Education at the American Sociological Association conference in Montreal, August 2024. She co-authored a Sociology of Gender OER textbook used in Sociology of Gender courses throughout Oregon colleges. She has a doctorate in Education Leadership with a focus in quantitative research on the higher education institution and faculty relationship. She is Sociology adjunct faculty at the American Public University System. Jane currently lives in Dresden, Germany.
