Dr. Susanne Appel leads the Process Integration and Yield Enhancement team at X-FAB Dresden, where she focuses on optimizing existing technologies and integrating new solutions to support customer innovation. With nearly a decade of experience at X-FAB and Melexis, she brings deep expertise in process integration, yield improvement, quality assurance, and cross-functional collaboration.
From 2023 to 2025, she was on assignment at X-FAB Texas, contributing to silicon carbide (SiC) process development and global knowledge-sharing initiatives. Dr. Susanne Appel holds a PhD in Physical Chemistry from TU Dresden and a Master’s degree in Molecular Nano Science from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg. She is certified in project management and Lean Six Sigma, and is an alumna of the Excellence Cluster Center for Advancing Electronics Dresden (cfaed).
