Andy obtained his Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering (First Class Honors) at the Middlesex University in London, England. From 1985 to 1991, he was Senior Designer at Advance Power Supplies in the UK where he designed 200W to 3KW Power Supplies. From 1991 to 1994 he was Business Development Director at Siliconix (now Vishay), where he supported European Design Wins, Power Product Definition and Business Development Andy worked at Micrel (now MicroChip), in San Jose, CA, from 1998 to 2011, where he was Head of the Analog-Power Business Unit from 1998 to 2003, Head of Strategic Applications from 2003 to 2007 and Vice President of the Analog BU from 2007 to 2011. In 2011, Andy joined Intersil (now Renesas) as Senior VP of the Power Business Unit. In Renesas, Andy was VP and GM of Battery & Optical Systems. Andy is currently VP and GM, of the Mobility, Infrastructure, & IoT Power Business Division, following the acquisition of IDT by Renesas. Andy has more than 15 Granted and Pending U.S. Patents.
