Laurie Kelly is the Vice President of Global Communications at GlobalFoundries. As a member of the senior leadership team, she is a principal strategist and advisor to the CEO and executive staff, and sets the strategic direction for GF's communications around the world. Laurie drives all aspects of internal and external communications and manages a global team responsible for enhancing, promoting and protecting the company’s brand reputation while also deepening employee engagement.

Laurie recently re-joined GF after establishing her own communications consultancy. Laurie first became associated with GF in 2010 when she joined Mubadala (ATIC) as the Associate Director of Communications based in Abu Dhabi. In 2014, Laurie moved back to the US to partner with GF on the acquisition of IBM’s Microelectronics Division, after which she joined the company as the VP of Corporate Marketing and Communications.

Laurie is a respected leader with 20 plus years of experience in developing and implementing integrated strategic communications programs and providing corporate and executive communications counsel. Prior to her five years in Abu Dhabi, Laurie was a managing director at the global public relations firm Burson-Marsteller, where she was responsible for the East Coast Technology Practice. Before that she was Vice President of Global Public Relations at SAP based in Germany.

Laurie holds an MBA from the Tias School for Business and Society in the Netherlands; a Leadership Development Certificate from INSEAD/SAP and a BA in economics from Westfield State University.
