Shankaran Janardhanan is the Senior Director and Head of Mobile Radio & WiFi business line at GlobalFoundries (GF). In this role, Janardhanan has responsibility for P&L management for GF's Mobile radio and Wifi business with a focus on growing a portfolio of business lines including Front end Modules, WiFi, Transceivers and Gesture sensing.

Prior to this role, Janardhanan was responsible for all the RF offerings (RF SOI, SiGe, FDX™-RF and RF CMOS) at GF. Janardhanan helped support the M&A activity that culminated in the acquisition of the IBM Microelectronics Specialty Foundry business in 2015 to help broaden GF’s differentiated RF portfolio and manufacturing footprint. In his previous role at GF, he managed RF & Power management business development and field applications.

Prior to GF, he had various roles in design engineering, technology and product management for RF and MEMS products at TowerJazz, where he also managed the design support function.

Janardhanan holds an MBA from the University of California–Berkeley and an MS in electrical engineering from Temple University. He has co-authored several papers, written a number of trade journal articles and blogs, and speaks regularly about RF trends and developments at conferences and consortiums across the world.
