Daniel Schaefer is Senior Director – Industrial, Multi-market, and Automotive Business unit at GLOBALFOUNDRIES. He is focused on aligning GF’s solutions to the unique requirements for Artificial Intelligence hardware accelerators. Dan has over 25+ years in the semiconductor industry and prior to his roll in the AIM BU, he lead the Field Application Engineering Organization in the US for GLOBALFOUNDRIES where he achieved significant engagements with customers within Automotive Radar, Wireless Charging, General Purpose MCU, Audio Amplifier, 5G, Front-end Module, and WiFi transceiver applications. Dan has always enjoyed working with customer to enable their products with a focus on new markets. Dan has a wonderful wife and two children, and he lives in Austin, TX even though he graduated from Texas A&M University. In his free time, he is an Assistance Scoutmaster in the Boy Scouts of America and a running enthusiast. Dan has completed over 9 Half Marathons to date.
