Takaaki (Tak) Yanagisawa is President and Representative Director of JFE Shoji Electronics Corporation and serves on the company's board director. Prior to being named president, Tak was Managing Director and Executive General Manger of Foundry Business Development Department and led the expansion of company's semiconductor business and Foundry business with IBM from 2009 and GlobalFoundries from 2011 as a first foundry business partner in Japan for mobile and wireless communications, industrial, auto and medical markets.

Yanagisawa began his JFE career to serve sales and marketing more than 30 years ago and helped the expansion of USA semiconductor trading in 1980's. After his domestic business in Japan, he stayed in San Jose, California on an assignment from 1999 to 2003 and in Taipei, Taiwan from 2003 to 2005 to develop Japanese IC business for network, communication and display market.

From 2005, he held several other strategy positions and he was responsible for expanding the company's global business in addition to domestic business and strengthening its leadership and relationships for USA, China, Taiwan and Israel business to establish company's strong portfolio with Foundry business including JFE's own turn-key service (BSG, Dicing, PKG, Final Test), ASIC and standard ICs for consumer, industry, automotive and military markets.

He holds a Bachelor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Sophia University.
